Spirit-Led Healing:

We are normally guided by our deities and spirit allies when we do our healing work, and we try to reach out to the deities and/or spirit allies of our clients as well, so we prefer to know each client’s spiritual background and level of comfort with spirits and/or deities before we begin. While this work might be termed “shamanic” by others, we tend not to use the term for ourselves. We do not feel that it is a good descriptor for our practice, and it has a troublesome history.

Alexandra has close relationships with several deities of healing, including Brigid and three children of Dian Cecht (Airmed, Miach, and Ochtriullach) among the Tuatha De Dannan, and Sekhmet in the Egyptian Pantheon. She also occasionally works with Apollo, Eir, and also a variety of other deities who aren’t specifically known for healing but have skills that are useful depending on what is needed at the time. Alexandra also often works in tandem with the Fairy Queen she calls Starflower and the beings of her court, as they have a particular focus on healing work in the Otherworlds and that energy can be harnessed and brought through for healing in this world as well.

Psychic Surgery:

“Psychic Surgery” is an energy healing technique where foreign energies or energetic objects are removed from the energy bodies, or energetic tissues are rejoined or repaired. The term is meant to draw a comparison to physical surgery: removing tumors or reattaching tendons. It is a more intense form of energetic healing than Usui Reiki, though many practitioners use them in conjunction. This is often required when an old injury keeps getting reinjured instead of healing, or when a psychic attack is the suspected cause of the client’s difficulties.

Soul Retrieval:

Both Alexandra and Scott were trained in Soul Retrieval by Monika of Kojote and Kroh. These are more targeted healings, where the healer journeys out to retrieve soul essence lost through trauma, and then returns it to client to help the energy bodies make way for the mind and physical body to heal themselves.  The trauma does not have to meet some kind of standards of severity to cause soul essence to shard or flee, but generally the more severely affected the person is, the greater the chance of soul loss. Because of the trauma involved, this can be a very emotional healing process, and we strive to provide a safe space in which to grieve and process as clients reintegrate lost parts of themselves.

Most small pieces of soul essence find their way back home eventually, but healers trained in soul retrieval can help speed up the process. We can also help retrieve pieces that are more “stuck” wherever they’ve landed, pieces that got lost on their way back, and pieces which have been waylaid by entities that may be predatory or harmful to the healing process.

Hex-Breaking and Curse-Breaking

If a hex or curse is suspected, we will first investigate whether there seems to be evidence of it in the energy bodies. This often requires spirit-led healing and perhaps some divination to get to the root cause of the client’s issues. If the client does appear to be feeling the effects of a curse or hex, we will work with our guides and our client’s guides to ascertain the best way to break and defuse the curse or hex. This may require more than one session if specific materials are needed, to give us time to gather them and prepare: in the first session we’ll make a plan for the breaking, and then once we have the materials prepared, we’ll schedule the appointment for the hex- or curse-breaking ritual. After the hex or curse is broken, we will probably also want to do a little more healing to make sure the energies settle back in properly, and some clients may require psychic surgery or soul retrieval as part of that process.

Healing with Crystals

We use a huge variety of crystals, precious and semi-precious stones, and minerals in our work. We use them to help enhance a healing, either by placing them near or on the client, giving them to the client to hold for a while, or by making a crystal grid to support the healing work we are doing. We believe that it is the spirit of the crystal ally that is assisting us in this work, and that each type of stone or mineral spirit has corresponding strengths in our healing work.

Alexandra tends to use crystals intuitively based on what she can feel of their energy once Scott has amplified that energy by reconnecting them to their source.  She does not have specific close allies, but some of her favorites are smoky quartz, moonstone, and blue topaz. She has also studied other people’s descriptions of the magical properties of a wide variety of crystals, and uses that knowledge to help design the gemstone healing bracelets.
